Baltimore-based psychotherapy for becoming your best self.
I help individuals get to the root of their issues so they can get rid of anxiety, overcome depression, and live the life they actually want.
Hey, I’m Alyssa! 👋
I’m a Psychology professor at Loyola University and the founder of Weinman Wellness Center.
I know how much therapy can change a person’s life. That’s why I opened Weinman Wellness Center, a private practice specializing in providing warm, approachable mental health services to help individuals create the life they truly want to live.
I love helping people find their passions, take back control of their lives, and reclaim their happiness.
When I’m not with clients or teaching, you can find me reading, spending time with friends in nature, and exploring Baltimore’s best restaurants!
Alyssa Weinman, M.S., LGPC
Owner of Weinman Wellness Center

I’m here for the deep-feelers.
The ones who were told they were “too emotional” or “too much”.
The people who feel like they are never enough, and are tired of struggling with the fear of rejection or abandonment.
I see you, and I’m here for you.

Decreasing screen time, which is linked to increased rates of depression, anxiety, and stress
Spending more time in nature, even for small periods of time daily
Increasing their exercise habits to naturally decrease stress and increase mood
Practicing journaling, such as gratitude journaling, and using breathing exercises to help the body come out of fight-or-flight mode
Improving sleep schedules and sleep habits, including reducing screen time before and after sleeping
Reducing substance use, including socially, if it may be causing negative effects on mental health or impacting treatment goals
Evaluating if current nutrition is accomplishing overall goals, and making changes where necessary
Practicing communication skills, implementing boundary setting, and challenging people-pleasing habits, even when uncomfortable
Committing to weekly therapy at the same time every week to achieve treatment goals
Trying medication, if appropriate
Recognizing that to truly heal, you must face any uncomfortable or painful emotions you may be avoiding

We know that it’s hard to be a teenager right now. With expectations to portray a perfect life/perfect body on Instagram, Snapchat, and Tiktok, while simultaneously experiencing academic stress, peer pressure, identity exploration, family conflicts, self-esteem challenges, and mental health disorders like anxiety and depression, it’s no wonder you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and misunderstood! By providing a supportive and confidential space for adolescents to explore their emotions, develop coping skills, enhance self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and build resilience, we help empower teens to successfully navigate the complex transition into adulthood.
